2 Corinthians 11:12-15

The decisive battle for human freedom has already been fought. The most intense struggle ended with the defeat of Satan in the death of Christ on the cross, which opens the way to freedom for all who entrust themselves to Christ. The devilís intention to dominate and control humanity stands doomed. But the New Testament warns of one final struggle to the death. Before the destruction of Satan he is allowed an opportunity to attempt to deceive the whole world including those who have entrusted their lives to God. The description of this final deception is outlined in the last book of Revelation. For his last deception Satan will infiltrate within the camp of those who claim to be Christians. This is not a new strategy. And he will utilize coercion and the threat of force to gain control as well. But in the ultimate deception Satan himself will appear as a angel of light to deceive the unsuspecting, even impersonating the coming of Christ.
